ELKA BONG: an experimental, sound art duo formed by Al Margolis and Walter Wright, explores the boundaries between improvisation, composition, and sonic indeterminacy. Rooted in extended listening practices and unconventional performance strategies, their music foregrounds texture, space, and the physicality of sound rather than traditional melody or form.

Mia Zabelka contributes violin, voice, and live electronics. Central to her contribution is her practice of automatic playing, a gesture-driven approach that bypasses conscious control and allows sound to emerge from reflex, memory, and physical impulse. This method expands the duo’s sonic palette with fragile timbres, raw vocal gestures, and electronically transformed acoustic material.
CillaVee is an interdisciplinary performing artist whose work is interdisciplinary, often collaborative and, usually, improvisation-based. She includes movement, dance, choreography, sound, music composition; text, poetry, spoken and written word; moving and still image; visual arts, installation, environmental interaction and public intervention. She is invested in the experience of the audience members as participants, and of the artist as observer.
Together, the performers engage in a dynamic interplay of structure and spontaneity, where composed elements coexist with open-ended improvisation. Extended instrumental techniques, subtle electronic processing, and responsive interaction shape a constantly shifting sound environment that invites deep listening and embraces unpredictability as a core aesthetic principle.
