+ WHYBUT? stands for “What Have You Been Up To?”
+ Focusing on how the past year has been for Asheville area artists in the wake of Hurricane Helene and what they have been working on.
+ It’s a series of four sessions – on Tuesday evenings in October and November.
+ Each session features at least 3 artists.
+ We will meet live in-person with a small audience – the sessions are also available for audience to attend via Zoom.
+ The vibe is super informal and relaxed … We’re basically just catching up on what these artists have been up to – kind of like a “Show + Tell”!
Each artist will have about 30 minutes total.
+ This includes a short “interview” to introduce them, their work in general and
what their focus has been recently.
+ Then a presentation to share in whatever format they wish. It might be a live
performance or reading, a digital screening of work or just a conversation.
