Smoke & Mirrors

“Smoke & Mirrors” is an intimate and immersive environment of projected imagery, movement and sound that conjures into being multi-faceted layers – quite literally with the use of smoke and mirrors! Smoke fills the air creating three-dimensional, swirling images. Weaving through this illusion, the dancer alters imagery with the use of objects causing reflections and refractions of light. Audience members are invited to enter and leave at any time throughout the duration. Viewers are encouraged to bring cushions, relax and get into the zone, slipping into a meditative state.

Geo Lynx has been collaborating intensively with Asheville area artists since 2014, providing graphic animation and video projection mapping for Black Mountain College Museum {Re}Happening events, with Asheville Butoh Collective performances as well as with Xambuca electronic music projects.

Pax (aka Kai) is an emerging young musician and composer who works in a variety of styles. He is also Geo’s son and they have a long history of collaborating together.

CillaVee is an international inter-disciplinary performance artist with a background of classical and contemporary dance, music and visual arts.

She founded Cilla Vee Life Arts in NYC in 2002 and has been based in Asheville since 2007, collaborating regularly in the local community.
