The CCC and our Artist-in-Residence Robyn Thomas invite you to share a PechaKucha style presentation on the subject of 'Instances and the impact of change'.

'Instances and the impact of change' invites participants to speak of an occurrence (instance) they associate with change. Further, how this impacts their understanding of what change means. Or how the meaning of what has been

changed was altered. The example could be in their life (personal or professional), historically or in a field they are interested in.

From Robyn:

Another way of thinking about change is considering what remains constant but is nevertheless impacted by the change. For instance, when I look at what I have been making over the past 30+ years, I find reoccurrences in shapes, materials and approaches that come and go. Changes happen but also what is changed still remains. These threads are woven together to form who we are and what we do. As I conducted my doctoral research taking on other identities and changing what I did through them, I discovered more about myself and what I do. Changing while maintaining consistency. Still, change is not about throwing the baby out with the bathwater but about cleaning it so it can remain healthy enough to grow and go out and get dirty once again.  I hope to gather information on different types of change people have experienced and what they might not have expected before their experience.

Please join us as a presenter or an observer.

PechaKucha will be followed by tea and discussion.

Come early for Potluck gathering.
