What to Expect

Thursday 10 th

Materials Workshop – CCC ‘Claire’s Garage’

7pm-9pm

A practical workshop incorporating material objects and various actions in the spirit of Marcel Duchamp, John Cage, and Black Mountain College. We will expose them to different types of change (physical and perceptual) and compassion, noting observations and results. CCC Artist-in-Residence Robyn Thomas will facilitate this experimental and exploratory workshop. Bring materials or objects with you that you want to change physically or in some way theoretically.

Robyn says:

It would also be interesting if participants brought objects they could not imagine changing. I won't be asking people to physically destroy or alter something they value. We can try "changing" the object or material without doing this physically. Participants in this workshop are invited to take part in the ‘Happening’ on Saturday November 12 th 7pm-10pm.
