So back in 1605 in London there was this guy called Guy … and … well it’s a long story but anyhow you can read about it here: https://www.history.com/news/guy-fawkes-day-a-brief-history.

During this event CCC Artist-in-Residence Robyn Thomas will be conducting informal fire-side conversations on the meanings of this tradition and ourperspectives on it in the light of the significance of cultural traditions, compassion

and change.

Guy Fawkes Night, or Bonfire Night, is the British tradition of bonfires, fireworks, and the burning of effigies of Guy Fawkes to celebrate the foiling of his plans to blow up a house of Parliament. At the CCC, we celebrate with the community by hosting a bonfire and an exciting night of music and art performances!
