Archetypal Gesture Work Week One: Intro to Archetypal Gesture Work

This first workshop session is an introduction and exploration into the Michael Chekhov method.

What to Expect:

The classes are one and a half hours. Individuals can bring a lunch and stay after for discussion and collaboration. We begin with a warm-up and atmospheric work. Then we move to group gesture work and individual gesture work. There is time for writing or drawing or expression. We discuss the concept of the archetype and end with a grounding exercise.

Originally developed as a movement theater technique, Noreen Sullivan has adapted the Michael Chekhov method to be inclusive for all artists and creatives seeking to expand their craft through modes of embodiment.
